YAG Laser Course – Capsulotomy (1-Day Training)

Eligibility: Doctors (Foundation to ST1-4), Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Orthoptists, and Optometrists with an interest in cataract management.

Course Overview

This one-day intensive course focuses on YAG laser capsulotomy, equipping participants with the knowledge and hands-on experience to safely and effectively perform posterior capsulotomy for the management of post-cataract surgery opacification.

• Laser Safety & Fundamentals – Understanding laser physics and safety protocols.

• Capsular Opacification & Treatment Techniques – Managing posterior capsule opacification, IOL opacities, and pupillary membranes.

• Hands-On Practical Session – Simulation-based training on YAG capsulotomy technique, risk assessment, and safe execution.
